Abstract

This scholarly article presents a longitudinal analysis of the impact of globalization on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Globalization, characterized by increased interconnectedness and integration of economies worldwide, has significantly influenced the business environment, particularly for SMEs. Through a comprehensive review of literature spanning several decades, this study explores the evolution of globalization and its implications for SMEs in various sectors and regions. Utilizing empirical data and case studies, the article examines the challenges and opportunities globalization presents to SMEs, including market expansion, access to resources, and technological advancements. Furthermore, it investigates how SMEs have adapted their strategies and operations to thrive in the globalized marketplace. The analysis also considers the role of government policies and international institutions in shaping the globalization landscape for SMEs.
