Abstract

Successful organizations develop policies suited to their employees. Successful organizational output depends on employees’ performance and commitment. Those organizations, who keep staff committed, get competitive advantage over rivals. Many practices are carried out by organization to keep employees committed and loyal towards organization. Human resource practices play a vital role in keeping employees loyal and also retain them for longer time. The staff turnover or turnover intentions affect organization’s overall performance. The objective of this quantitative study was to find out the impact of Job Retention in relation with organizational fit, recognition and remuneration and training and development. Questionnaires survey of the employees was used as data collection tool for this study. The findings of the study revealed a positive relation of recognition and remuneration and Training and Development with Job Retention in Saidu Medical College, Swat. The findings of the study may be helpful in reducing turnover intensions of staff in Saidu medical College, Swat and as well may be helpful in organizational commitment and loyalty. In a nut shell, it was observed that human resource factors have the potential to retain employees in the organization.
