Abstract

Trademarks are a crucial component of intellectual property, safeguarded through legal frameworks designed to regulate their use and prevent infringement. Despite the existence of laws governing trademark protection in Pakistan, violations remain a persistent challenge. This study explores an often-overlooked dimension of trademark infringement—social behavior—and argues that legal enforcement alone is insufficient without fostering a positive societal approach toward trademark protection. Public awareness plays a pivotal role in shaping this approach, ensuring that individuals and businesses recognize the significance of trademarks and adhere to ethical practices. By examining the interplay between law and societal attitudes, this research underscores the necessity of integrating legal measures with public engagement initiatives to effectively combat trademark violations in Pakistan.
